Perfect... that seemed to be the adjective of the week, minus a few bumps in our actual travel experience.We had the perfect set up in a little one bedroom apartment on the beach, with a kitchen, right next door to Grandpa Mike and DD. Our friends Rafie and Monique lent us a pack and play for Myles so we had everything we needed for a fun week at the beach.
We spent time at the beach where Myles had his first legit experience with waves and sand. At first it seemed too much to take in at once, but he quickly warmed up to it and had fun playing with his toys in the sand.
A few moments were spent in the pool too. Myles LOVES the water.
We spent a day touring the island with our with our guides Grandpa Mike and DD. They showed us the west coast, east coast and the center of the island. We visited places Diane and Mike have stayed in the past and places sentimental to Diane's experiences in Barbados.
Some of our time was spent with the Ramsay family. Ronnie, Marlene, Rafie, Monique and Malakai came out to the beach to see us and we went out to Marlene and Ronnie's home for an evening of food, drinks and friends. It was my first time meeting the Ramsay family, but it was great for Morgan to reconnect with them after many years and for Myles to meet and play with baby Malakai.
To sum it up, Perfect family time, perfect friend time, perfect setting, perfect vacation. Thanks DD and Grandpa Mike. We had a wonderful time.
Look like so much fun! And SO sunny. I miss the sun.....
