What a difference a year makes.

On this Fourth of July weekend holiday, I can't help but reflect where we were a year ago. We knew Myles was on his way, but hadn't told most of our friends and family. We also knew if we were ever going to remodel the kitchen we would have to get it done before his arrival. We (and I mean Morgan) dove in head first and spent the weekend gutting the kitchen. What an awful job! But he got it done; these were the first steps towards building our new home together.


Thankfully, Nanc took Omar and Kira for weeks on end, because the house was not pet-friendly. So they spent the summer with her at "Camp Sequim."

Grandpa Mike came out and helped with tearing out and rebuilding the floors.


And the rest of the summer Morgan spent rebuilding.



And so that leaves us to... one year later...
